Dr Frederick Bauer

I am an American trained chiropractor, graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa in 1985. I moved to Australia in 1989 and established a successful family oriented practice in Townsville, where I practised for just over thirty years. With the children grown, Julie and I decided on a bit of a sea change and moved to Airlie Beach. I am excited about this new phase in my career and look forward to providing quality chiropractic care in the comfort of your own home.

How does it work?

It's simple. You call us on 0414 903 019 and we'll ask a few basic questions about your specific problem and need for care.
We will then arrange an appointment that suits you at your earliest convenience.
We will arrive at the appointment time with our portable adjusting table and equipment.
After completing a basic intake form we will review your health history and perform a thorough examination including orthopedic, neurological, and chiropractic tests to determine where your problem lies and whether chiropractic care is appropriate.
If there are no contra-indications we can proceed with your first chiropractic adjustment.
We can then discuss options for any ongoing care if needed, including further home visits, in office visits, and any further tests including x-rays if needed.

How much does it cost?

$70.00 per visit.

Are there any additional travel fees?

No, Our fees include travelling to your location.

How long are the appointments?

We allow one hour for an initial consultation and thirty minutes for subsequent consultations. This includes setting up and packing up which does not take long.

Can I claim this on my health insurance?

Absolutely, if you have private health insurance with extras that covers chiropractic care. We do not have a mobile HICAPS terminal for on the spot claims however we can provide you with a detailed receipt which you can use to claim from your private health insurance, either online or in person.

What are your hours?

We operate from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM seven days a week.

What technique does the chiropractor use?

We use a variety of techniques including traditional manual manipulation, drop piece adjustments, activator adjustments and other low force techniques. We can work within your preferences.
